Cantilever Rollers Description: These rollers are for cantilever sliding gates. A typical application would require 4 rollers per gate leaf. Two of the roller wheels ride on the bottom of the gate frame constructed of 2 1/2" O.D. (2 3/8" actual) pipe. The other two rollers ride on the top of the 2 1/2" gate frame. Each set of rollers are mounted to posts of 3" O.D. to 6 5/8" O.D. The rollers "sandwich" the gate so it cantilevers either in the open or closed position. See an illustration of how they are to be installed. It is important to place guards over the rollers to prevent fingers and hands from being removed. If you doubt this, we can refer you to an installer who can pick his nose clear up to his second knuckle because the first one is gone. It's a ghastly sight.
