Ordering a D-5 Garden Gate

4' high x 6' wide gate used as example
When ordering a D-5 Garden Gate, one must take in consideration several different factors that affect the size gate to order. This drawing is a guide to help determine the size that you would want to order for your particular situation. Note the following: The left picture shows the total opening between the columns as being 72". The picture on the right shows the width of the gate being 70-3/4". This size difference is to allow room for the hinges and latch. When you order a gate to fit a certain size opening, the gate will actually be 1-1/4" smaller than the opening size. Also notice the picture on the right shows the 4' height is measured from the bottom to the lowest part of the arch. The arched section rises 12" on all D-5 Garden Gates regardless of the size ordered. When you order one of these gates, the factory will give you a drawing to check your dimensions and asks you to sign the drawing to verify all measurements are as you wish. The fabrication of the gate will not begin until the signed drawing is received by the manufacturer. Custom gates such as these have no resale value if it doesn't fit your application. Hopefully this information will help you choose the correct size gate for your job. Any other questions, feel free to contact Hoover Fence Co. at 1-800-355-2335. |
