Brief Overview of Modular Steel Chain Link Panels:
Fabricated from light, medium, or heavy weight materials, our modular chain link panels are unique and versatile. Although used primarily as dog kennels by quality-conscious pet owners and professional dog boarding facilities, they have also proven useful as steel partition panels for tool cribs, secure equipment storage, and partitioning off warehouse and factory areas.

Hoover Fence Company's modular chain link panel system is available in a variety of standard sizes, from 4' high up to 8' high, and in widths from 3' wide to 8' wide; all panels are available with and without gates. We also fabricate our steel chain link panels to your specification in nearly any height and width.

Specifications for Chain Link Panels:
The residential light weight kennel will do the job adequately for most dogs and other animals. This is constructed with 1-3/8" outside diameter (O.D.) galvanized and welded frames (.065 wall thickness). Chain link mesh is 11-1/2 gauge (2-1/4" mesh). Galvanized clips and aluminum ties further secure the chain link fabric to the kennel frames, 18" on the top rail and 12" on the bottom rail. Gates are prehung utilizing tight-fitting kennel gate hinges and specially designed kennel latches.

For larger dogs, the medium weight kennel might be a better choice. This is constructed with 1-3/8" outside diameter (O.D.) galvanized and welded frames (.065 wall thickness). Chain link mesh is 11 gauge (2" mesh). Tension bands and aluminum ties further secure the chain link fabric to the kennel tubular frames, 12" on the top rail and 6" on the bottom rail. Gates are prehung utilizing tight-fitting kennel gate hinges and specially designed kennel latches.

The commercial grade heavy weight kennel is our highest quality kennel, designed for those who want the strongest, longest lasting kennel. It is highly recommended for commercial applications such as for breeders and kennel boarding. We use Allied SS-20 1-3/8" outside diameter (O.D.) galvanized framework (.080 wall), 9 gauge galvanized chain link (2" mesh). This kennel is also unique since it is the only one to have steel wire lacing top and bottom to secure the chain link mesh to frames.

Kennel Construction:
All galvanized chain link and welded round tubing or pipe frames. Vertical frame bracing as required structurally. Gates have special 'dog-proof' kennel latches to prevent accidental opening. Hinges are also specially designed for a tight fit. Chain link secured to frame with wire lacing, aluminum ties, or steel fittings depending on grade.

This is a photo of a single kennel unit consisting of 4 sides, which bolt together to form a sturdy secure unit. Multiple units and kennel runs can be added by using common sides, minimizing the number of panels needed. To add another separate unit requires only 3 more panels. This kennel measures 6' high x 6' wide x 10' long and is our medium grade kennel, consisting of 11 gauge galvanized chain link with 2" mesh and .065 wall galvanized tubing frame.

You can see that the space between the kennel door and frame is minimal (about 1"), so dogs' paws are less likely to get caught. Special kennel hinges and latches are used for this purpose. The panels are preassembled. You need only to stand them upright and bolt them together with two fittings and two nuts and bolts at each junction. They bolt together in minutes. It is just as easy to disassemble and reassemble in a new location.

The corners of the kennel are notched and welded, which not only looks very neat, but makes the units very strong and durable. Once these panels are bolted together, they can not be tipped. It is not usually necessary to secure them to the ground.
