Swing Gate Operator with Battery Backup

The RSW12V is our most advanced residential and light commercial pad mounted swing gate operator. It features a powerful DC motor with soft start/stop operation for quiet and reliable performance, and is rated for gates up to 600 lbs. or 16ft in length and cycling up to 250 times per day. It also has a built-in battery backup system.
In addition to a long list of safety and convenience features, the RSW12V can be distinguished by an innovative control board that offers:
EverCharge® Power Management System
Leading the Industry with only 8mA power draw when idle including an on-board radio receiver, this system delivers power when needed most for operating the gate while conserving power at all other times, resulting in more cycles when needed for battery backup or optional solar power.
Exceptional Standby Power
Ten seconds after the gate closes, the system switches off non essential devices to conserve power. This is critical in the event AC power is lost as the battery backup system will remain operational for days or weeks depending on the daily cycle rate and power draw of accessories connected to the 12V accessory power output.
True Power Management System
Our system will not only recover batteries quicker when discharged, it also manages the low power threshold and will not run the batteries beyond the point of failure ensuring they are ready for the next time they are needed.

Electrical Specifications

Battery - Sealed 12-volt, 7 amp hour battery standard
Receiver - Built-in receiver included, accepts up to 50 remotes
Control Board - Modular control board uses LED's to indicate all input and output functions of the operator.
Reversing Sensor - If the gate hits a vehicle while closing it re-opens. If it hits a vehicle while opening it will stop.
Timer-to-close - Can be set from 0 to 180 seconds
Safety Loop Input - Capable of accepting a safety loop system.
Alarm - Alarm will sound anytime the moving gate is physically stopped by an unwanted object.
Surge Suppressor Terminal - Surge/spike protection included, protects against lightning.
Electronic Inputs - Full-control system "open/stop/close", safety loop, photocell, telephone entry, and key switch.
Optional Solar Input - The optional solar panel allows the RSW12V to operate as an independent unit.

Other Components You May Need:

Slave Operator - You will need another operator for master/slave installations (double gates), MSWIRE12GA6C is required to connect the two operators.
Transmitters - You will need a transmitter if you desire to open your gate with a remote. Any LiftMaster Security+ ERT 315MHz compatible transmitter will work. You can find transmitters here.
Low Voltage Wire - This wire will be used between the transformer and control board. 14 gauge wire should be used for distances up to 1000'. For distances of 200' or less you can use 18 gauge wire. You will need to bury these wires in conduit. You can find this wire here. Direct burial landscape cable matching these specifications can also be used without conduit (available at most garden centers).
Solar Panels - Solar panels can be can be used in remote areas. Solar panels can be found here.
