| Shown here is 4 foot high style #17 fence. A
drive gate is installed on the left with an arbor attached on the right side. The fence is
attached to wood posts on the gate side with an aluminum line post between the fence
sections. This customer actually built his own gate using fence sections. Usually gates
must be ordered to provide the strength needed to handle the load that is applied to it
when opening and closing. Gates are built with extra support to handle the slamming it
receives and are highly recommended to prevent the possibility of the gate sagging. Drive
gates should be ordered in most cases, especially if a gate operator is going to be used. |
This picture shows the same style only the
customer made a unique transition on the right side with sloping pickets dropping down
about six inches. The fence section is attached to the wood posts with rail end brackets.
The line posts between the sections are routed to accept the rails of the fence sections.
The transition post would have had to be ordered as an end post to accept the 4 foot high
section with the customer routing his own holes in the post on the lower section or else
the top rail hole would show on that side. Using his imagination, this customer came up
with a unique fence to make an attractive entry to his home. |
