4'' Gate End Post

This post is larger than standard gate end posts to support the weight and slamming of heavier gates. The 4'' gate end post is also recommended when a gate operator is to be used. "End" means it also serves as an end post for a line of fence. 4" gate end posts are not available routed. It is actually a gate blank post but will require wall mount brackets to attach the rails of the fence to the post. Be sure to order a wall mount bracket for each rail that will be attached to this post. Most gate posts would be gate end posts. The other type of gate post is a gate blank post. The blank post also has no routed holes for rails and would be used usually as a latch post next to a house, wall or other place where a gate ends a line of fence.
