This post has a heavier wall then standard posts to support
the weight and slamming of gates. "End" means it also
serves as an end post. It has holes routed in one side only for a
section's rails to slide into it. Most gate posts would be gate
end posts. The other type of gate post is a gate blank post. The
blank post has no routed holes for rails and would be used
usually as a latch post next to a house, wall or other place
where a gate ends a line of fence. |
