Installation Photos - Jerith Style #100
(Hoover Fence Co. Style #1)

Hoover Fence Company is shown here installing a local job for Josephine K. of Howland, Ohio. The fence is Jerith style #100, a three or four-rail fence section (depending on the height) with staggered pinched pickets above the top rail. Although we don't install fence as often as we used to, occasionally the boss likes to put the employees to the test and sharpen their knowledge of our products. After all, we're not a internet company that sells fence, we're fencers that sell fence on the internet. For you first time "do-it-yourselfers", you may pick up on a few points by looking over these pictures. This job was installed by two workers. It isn't a particularly difficult job, as long as you follow the installation instructions. As usual, Hoover Fence Co. is here to help with any questions that may arise. We provide support as well as a high quality product for our customers.

Jerith Style #100 Ornamental Fence

You'll notice a bobcat in this picture. Not necessary for most smaller jobs, but a bobcat or gas-powered auger is best for a job requiring many post holes. Notice at the bottom rail a line being used as a guide to keep the fence sections straight. After the concrete is poured and hardened, add some soil around the posts and plant seed where needed. Before long it will look like your fence has always been there. Ornamental fence blends beautifully with nature, no ugly warped rotting wood to content with. Notice the capability of the fence section to follow the lay of the land. This is called "raking". This particular style can be raked 12" over it's 6 foot span. This fence is powder coated in bronze. The actual color is similar to the color of a UPS truck. Ornamental fence provides beauty as well as security to your property. The bronze color blends in beautifully with it's surroundings. Yet another picture showing the pleasing appearance of the ornamental fence. When the fence sections are all set, add the post caps and the job will be complete. Hand digging is necessary in some tight spaces to keep from destroying the existing structures. Heavier 4" posts are being used here next to the arbor entrance. Notice the wall mount brackets used to attach to the 4" gate posts. Normally the rails slide into holes routed into the posts, but not in this case. With a little bit of patience, the posts can be installed straight and plumb. Shortening fence sections to fit smaller spaces is easily accomplished by cutting them down with a hacksaw.
