The ''Notcher'' is a must for anyone working with fence pipe. In seconds you can '' fishmouth'' the end of a pipe to fit perfectly with another for welding, without dancing around with hot sparks in your shoes or eyes. Notchers come with 3 sizes of cutters, 1-3/8'', 1-5/8'' and 1-7/8''. To make 90º joints, take a full bite from each side. For angles up to 30º, take a large bite from one side and a smaller bite from the other. For angles greater than 30º, miter the tube and notch the sharp side only. When you're done, you will have a clean and precise fit that requires no grinding or guesswork.
      These notchers are made of top quality materials and are designed to last a lifetime. The cutting edges are hardened to 62 Rockwell, which is 2 points higher than the back of Superman's head, so like him, they are practically indestructible. The fully assembled unit comes cad plated and is designed to bolt to the side of a workbench. Brackets available for welding or bolting to tabletop (sold separately), consists of two brackets and six nuts/bolts. The notcher will handle all your notching jobs with ease.
