Post Support Kits
Concrete or Wood

Mounting with posts supported by a steel support kit - Post support kits can be utilized where 4x4 posts are not used. Excellent system for mounting posts to concrete or decks.
Note: Vinyl posts alone do not provide adequate fastener retention. You must provide a wood or composite block inside the posts at bracket locations for proper fastener retention.

Steel support kits
  • Install concrete post support as directed (concrete kit shown at far left with flat bottom plates - wood kits also shown with 90º plates)
  • After attaching EZ-set brackets to post support, set 5/4"x3-5/8"x6" blocks above bottom EZ-set bracket on both sides of post
  • Slide vinyl post over blocks and brackets
  • Slide blocks into posts down to upper bracket
  • Install rails, balusters, and brackets. Be sure to screw brackets into areas reinforced by blocks

  • Both concrete and wood kits must be installed level, use washers under plates to plumb.
