Oxford Vinyl Railing Systems
Posts & Post Support Kits
Before you begin ... make sure you have all the correct posts you need to assemble your vinyl railing. This page shows the different types of posts that are used on a railing system. Pictured below is the Oxford style railing. The Oxford style is routed for the "T" top rail on the top section of the post. The bottom section of the post is routed for the 2x4 rail. Notice the difference between the flat rail and stair rail openings on the posts. The posts are routed with a larger opening for the stair rails to allow the rails to be mounted at the standard 32° angle. Posts for stairs are longer than posts for flat sections, they will be cut to size during installation to assure a perfect fit. Post support information is at the bottom of the page showing the difference between the flat and stair supports used when mounting the posts to wood and concrete.
