Description: The Imperial vinyl fence is available in white, tan or grey. The tan and grey are very light shades. It is ideal for a semi-private fence. The narrow spaces all but block the view, especially at angles, as you can see in the pictures, while at the same time allowing some air to move through the fence. For that reason, this style is a better choice than a solid vinyl fence in high wind prone areas.
Sections are 6' high x 90" wide on post centers. This height is just above most people's head level. This style is also available in 3' high, 4' high and 5' high. A steel reinforced bottom rail prevents sagging. The steel rail is hidden inside the vinyl rail.
The sections are shipped unassembled. Assembly is very easy. The posts and rails are pre-routed so you just slide the pieces together. The 5' high section has three horizontal rails. Choose from several types of post caps. The Gothic style post caps are shown above.
If you need a part section in a line, simply cut the rails to length with a hack saw. Take care to cut for proper picket spacing results. One section can easily be made into two or more when smaller sections as needed. This style will rack (shift out of square) for easy adaption to slight grades. Extreme grades may require stair-stepping of sections. Setting the posts in concrete is recommended. Gate posts, end and corner posts should be reinforced with 1/2" steel rebar inside the post and filled with concrete up to the second or top rail. The 1/2" steel rebar is not included. Order rebar separator clips (pair) to hold the rebar firmly in the corners of the posts while you fill posts with concrete. Is it hard to install? The style is very easy to assemble. The post holes and concrete represent most of the work.
Gates have self-closing hinges and self-latching latches included. Gates are standard 50" wide (51-1/2" gate opening size). To make a double swing gate 100" wide, use 1- 50" gate, the opposite 50" gate and add a drop pin kit. You can make custom width gates by purchasing a gate kit and a section for the gate. The gate kits come with all hardware and assembly instructions. You are limited to widths less than a section width, which is about 90".
