Vinyl Fence & Railing Low Voltage Lighting Post Caps (Vinyl)
Low
voltage lighting post caps are one of the most popular post caps used on
decks today with even more interest in them as more styles become available.
Below you will find lighting post caps by various manufacturers in a wide
variety of materials to fit vinyl posts. Installation is easy and you're
sure to find a style that complements your deck or fence.
Note about
transformers and wiring:
Transformer Recommendations - Make sure that the total wattage of the bulb does not exceed the wattage of
the transformer. i.e. 15 caps x 7 watt bulbs = 105 watts. Requires minimum 105 watt
transformer capability.
Transformers are available in landscape department of hardware stores.
Wiring Recommendations -
Use 14 gauge cable for up to 150 ft,
12 gauge for up to 200 ft.

Post Caps are made to light up your deck, driveway, sidewalk, gazebo or pool. Not
a bright light, but a pleasing accent light that adds beauty and charm. 7 watt bulb
produces between 15 and 30 foot-candles of light. Extremely efficient. Caps are
powered by transformers (see note below). Low voltage wire available below. Three styles
available including post caps made for 3.5", 4", and 5" vinyl posts.
5" and 4" shown at right. Available here in white only. The styles made to fit 3-1/2" and 5"
posts are exterior caps meaning they mount on the outside of the post. The
vinyl caps made to
fit 4" posts are interior caps meaning they slip inside the post. Caps can be glued
on or mounted with screws provided with a cap to cover the screw head. When using screws
be sure to drill a pilot hole to avoid splitting the vinyl. These caps come with a

| Low Voltage "Classy Cap" Lighting Post Caps cast a beautiful subtle glow downward onto the
outside walls of the cap and surrounding area. The effect adds radiance and
allure to any style of fence ...picket or privacy, deck or porch railing.
Available in 3.5" or 4" sizes to fit vinyl or wood posts. Can
also be used on 5" post with optional adapter. All styles are exterior
caps that attach to post using 2 -stainless steel screws, included with cap. Be sure to drill a pilot hole to avoid splitting the vinyl. These low voltage
post caps are powered by a programmable photocell transformer. Common low
