Question:
Will a 4"x4" pressure treated post last longer than a 4"x4" white
cedar post? I am installing a white cedar fence.
Applicable Products:
Wood Fence.
Reply:
If cedar is cemented, it will rot. Also
cedar has a tendency to rot quicker than treated wood when it touches the
ground. Most wooden fences should be cemented with treated posts. For more
information on cedar/ treated wood and installations of fences read more about the fence
styles viewed here: http://www.hooverfence.com/wood/
