These posts are designed for use with the Stair sections of the Oxford Vinyl Railing.
The Oxford style is routed for the "T" top rail on the top section of the post. The bottom section of the post is routed for the 2x4 rail.
Aside from these "Stair" posts, there are also "Flat" and "Transition" varieties, all of which are commonly used in railing installations. Posts do not include caps, trim, or supports, all of which will need to be purchased separately.
Posts shown below are the options that are on this page. Some others configurations are available as shown on the diagram. Check other product pages for those options.
Oxford Post System Overview:
Before you begin...make sure you have all the correct posts you need to assemble your vinyl railing. The diagram below shows the different types of posts that are commonly used on a railing system. Notice the difference between the flat rail and stair rail openings on the posts. The posts are routed with a larger opening for the stair rails to allow the rails to be mounted at the standard 32° angle. Posts for stairs are longer than posts for flat sections, they will be cut to size during installation to assure a perfect fit.
NOTE: Options shown with 2x4 routed rail, actual post routing will be for the "T" Top Rail, and 2x4 Bottom Rail. Blank and In-Ground End post not pictured.
