The Oxford Railing Sections, from the EverNew® line of vinyl railing, are the main component of this railing system. The Oxford Railing is suitible for both residential and commercial applications. This railing system utilizes routed posts which accept the vinyl rails of the fence sections.
Oxford railing sections include the top rail, bottom rail, and balusters. Posts are sold separately. If you plan on using blank posts or mouting to a wall, brackets will need to be purchased separately.

Railing Specific Questions:
Yes, we ship anywhere in the continental U.S.
Sections come in 6', 8' and 10' widths. If the distance from the house to the column or column to column exceeds the maximum of 10' section, you will have to buy two or more sections and use intermediate posts (line posts). You can cut sections, so the 18" pieces can be easily cut to fit. You could use (1) - 6' wide section for example and cut both 18" pieces from it. Don't assume that every piece of a cut section will work out to a whole section. In other words, if you cut a 6' section in half, you will not end up with 2 - 3' sections. A slight amount is lost due to spacing of pickets and the fact that it must slide inside the posts.
The posts can be secured to the concrete with a "post support kit for concrete". These kits consist of a post with a welded flange on the bottom. A picture is worth a thousand words. Oxford Railing Concrete Installation Example
To connect to columns and walls, use rail mount brackets. Each rail requires a rail mount bracket. There are two rails on each section, a top and a bottom, so two rail mount brackets are required per hookup to a wall or column.
There are two kinds of rail mount brackets. Brackets are available for flat sections and stair sections. The rail mount brackets come with decorative covers to hide the metal bracket. These brackets can be used for all mounting situations. For example, if the section connects to a wall on one end and a column that can not be moved on the other end, you must use the rail mount bracket, which allows you to insert the bracket into the end of the rail, slide the section between the column and wall, and then secure the metal bracket with screws to the wall. Your sketch was fine, except it included no measurements. With measurements, I could figure your material list and quote a price.
If you paint the railing, it will void the warranty. The advantage to vinyl railing is never having to paint. The railing comes in white, almond, and clay colors.
Vinyl railing can not be installed in an arc. You would install it at intermittant angles. Typically sections are cut and more line posts are ordered so that the angle can be sharper. Most of the time line posts are used; depending on the angle, they may need filed to accept the rails at sharp angles.
Rail-mount brackets are made to attach the railing top and bottom rails to an existing post or wall. Normally when you install vinyl railing the rails slide into the pre-routed holes in the posts and are secured with a railing plate and rail lock screw. When attaching the rails to existing non-routed posts you would have to use rail-mount brackets. They come with a metal bracket and decorative cover.
Various posts are available for making the transition between the flat sections and stair sections.
General Vinyl Questions:
The base ingredient is rigid PVC (polyvinyl chloride) modified to provide superior impact strength and ultraviolet (UV) resistance. The formulation is similar to that of vinyl siding which has a 20-year history of providing long-term durability and structural integrity.
Technically, "recycled" refers to post-consumer or post-industrial materials coming from the waste stream. PVC can and is being recycled. CertainTeed does not use the waste stream as a source. However, we do reprocess our own PVC where it meets our rigid specifications. The use of this reprocessed material keeps it out of the waste stream, positively effecting our environment.
No. CertainTeed products contain 10 parts titanium dioxide (TI02), which prevents ultraviolet degradation. All CertainTeed products are warranted for the lifetime of the original consumer purchaser.
As with most plastics, vinyl will become less flexible in colder weather conditions. However, unless subjected to unusual impact, it will not break. It is normal for materials to expand and contract during temperature changes. Our product has been engineered to accommodate normal temperature swings and changing climatic conditions.
PVC has a high flash point of 900 degrees F and does not readily ignite. It is therefore categorized as being "self-extinguishing".
Light chalking is a normal occurrence of any pigmented surface. Washed away by rainfall and normal changes in weather, this process helps to keep your fence looking like new. In effect, it could be described as virtually "self cleaning".
PVC can be impact modified. CertainTeed has tailored its formulations to meet or exceed the requirements necessary for excellent performance in the field.
CertainTeed products have smooth surfaces with no nails, sharp edges or chance for splinters. You, your children, pets and animals are all safer. Vinyl has a tough surface, retains virtually no moisture and has no taste - therefore horses will not "crib" or chew on a CertainTeed fence. In addition, our experience shows that CertainTeed fencing holds up to routine property maintenance, including the use of most types of weed eaters.
CertainTeed's process is similar to that which has been used to produce vinyl siding for nearly 20 years. In addition, CertainTeed performs accelerated weathering tests, which have produced excellent results.
CertainTeed warrants all of its manufactured products (not installation or labor) on a non-prorated basis for the lifetime of the original consumer purchaser. The warranty covers the color of the product as well as any peeling or cracking of the material.
Use of a non-abrasive liquid cleaning agent is normally sufficient. However, for more stubborn stains, a product similar to Soft Scrub may be helpful.
There should be no reason to paint your CertainTeed fence. If you decide to paint it, an epoxy-based paint needs to be used in order to adhere to the smooth vinyl surfaces. As with any painted product, it would have to be repainted in time. Any painting of your CertainTeed product voids CertainTeed's lifetime warranty.
Very simply, it's not! Although your investment is more initially, this is where your expense ends. The cost difference is quickly eliminated once the substantial cost of continuous maintenance of a wood or metal fence is considered. CertainTeed fencing is the economical way to go, confidently saving you time and money with a fence backed by a lifetime warranty.
Cost Comparison:
Cost includes price of fence averaged over 20 years plus maintenance and repair costs. Cost is expressed as a percentage.
Conclusion:
Your CertainTeed fence cost over 20 years is constant because there are no maintenance and repair bills. Wood or metal fences are less expensive in the first few years, but increase and become more costly than your maintenance-free vinyl fence.

The Standard installation method for the Oxford Railing is by using the routed system which consists of steel post supports inside 4 x 4 vinyl posts. The top and bottom rails slip inside routed holes in the posts. The aluminum channels inside the top and bottom rails attach to the post supports making a sturdy metal-to-metal system that meets the National building code approved NER-605.
Oxford Routed System Features:
The Alternative installation method for Oxford Railing is to use brackets. This method utilizes 4 x 4 treated wood posts instead of steel post supports. Blank posts are used instead of routed posts. The vinyl posts slip over the wood posts. The rails are attached to the posts with screws using "Rail Mount Brackets". The rail mount brackets provide a sturdy metal-to-wood system that also meets the National building code approved NER-605. Brackets are available for flat and stair applications. Brackets are also made to mount to round columns and 45 degree applications.
