This flexible system allows you to control access by means of encoded cards, 5-digit PIN's (Personal Identification Number), wireless RF control, or with most 26-bit wiegand devices. When hooked up to computer with telephone line, maximum distance between controller and door access device is 500' (range can be extended to 1000' when using extra tracking board unit mounted between 1838 and keypad/card reader - call for details and prices). When hard wired to computer, maximum distance between controller and door access device is 25'.
