Gate Holdback Kit - Includes Post, Holdback, and Post Cap - Galvanized (GATE-HOLDBACK-KIT)

Our Gate Holdback Kits add the convenience leaving your gate in the hold open position, and takes the guesswork out of what you need to complete the job! Each kit includes (1) Galvanized Malleable Duckbill Gate Holdback, (1) 2" x 7' Galvanized HF40 Cut Post, and (1) 2" Aluminum Post Cap.

Installation is easy, options include driving the post in the ground using a Post Pounder or using Post Hole Diggers and setting the post in concrete. Simply set the post to a height where the holdback will engage a horizontal rail on your gate and make sure to leave room for the post cap. One the post is set bolt on the holdback with included u-bolt, tap on the cap with a mallet, and you are done! Now you can secure your gate in the open position whenever you need, without worrying about it blowing closed. When it comes time to release the gate simply push the gate away from the holdback a little bit, tilt the 'duckbill' back, and open the gate.
