Top Rail Cover / Post Padding (Type SFP)
Premium Tough-Skin SafeFoam™ top rail cover is an affordable solution to scrapes, cuts and bruises for baseball outfielders and children. SafeFoam™ can be used for top rail covers and to pad posts of outfield fences, play areas, and goal posts. Premium Tough-Skin SafeFoam™ has an approx. 2" I.D. (inside diameter). Premium SafeFoam™ is preslit 90 percent. so that it maintains its dimensional integrity during manufacture, storage, and shipping. you must slit through the remaining foam in order to mount foam on fence top or post. Chain link fence top rails and posts can, and usually do, vary in size. As a result of larger pipe diameters and links extending onto and slightly past the pipes, SafeFoam (TM) may not 'close' completely when installed. This situation is not a problem as long as the SafeFoam™ is tilted toward the field of play. This way players have maximum padding and protection should they hit the fence. Be sure foam is secured tightly to prevent it from sliding off when hit. Use cable ties or twine as needed to secure SafeFoam™ to fence tops and posts. One tie in the middle of a section and one on each near the end of each section will keep the foam securely on the fence. Matching colored ties are available for your convenience.
