Chain Link Carriage Bolts
Galvanized w/ Hex Nut
Chain link carriage bolts are used to secure an assortment of fittings to posts. See desired fitting for proper size to order. These bolts are not like most bolts available from your local discount supply stores. They are hot-dipped galvanized coated. They will not rust like the shiny zinc-coated type. The typical bolt will rust in a year or two and freeze the nut to the bolt. These bolts will last for years. They are a soft steel, so they are not suitable for high stress connections. They are suitable for chain link fence applications. They are great for making outdoor projects, like picnic tables. The 3-1/2'' long ones will bolt two dimensional 2 x 4's together, which makes them ideal for picnic table legs. Sorry, we don't sell the galvanized washers or lock washers for such applications. Washers are not required for most chain link fittings.
