Oz-Hammers™
Although Oz-Posts can be installed with a sledge hammer,
jackhammer installation is the recommended method for installing Oz-Posts. Oz-Hammers are
the drivers used to install Oz-Posts with a Jackhammer. Oz-Hammers are high grade steel
attachments that fit most common jackhammers that are available to rent or buy. There are
two Oz-Hammer styles available. Most Oz-Posts use the OH-01 style, the OH-02 style is used
for installing Oz-Posts sizes 1-7/8" round and 1-3/4" square. Custom Oz-Hammers
can be made for those who would like to use their existing equipment. See the Oz-Post
product pages for hammers and spacers required to install each Oz-Post.Note about Jackhammers: Jackhammers are available at most
rental centers. Some carry Bosch® Brute or Wacker® 60#
electric jackhammers that are perfect for any size job. There are also gas powered
jackhammers (Wacker® model BH-23 is one popular brand) that are great for
remote locations where power cords or generators would have difficulty reaching. Air
operated jackhammers also work, but is not recommended because they are very heavy and
much more difficult to handle. There are many other jackhammer brands and most of them do
the job. To be sure, the main feature that the tool will need is to have a 1-1/8" hex
chisel holder with a retaining collar.

Cap Driving Tool:
Cap Driving Tool CDT-07
is available, used to drive compression caps provided with the Oz-Posts designed for round
posts. These include the ISW-850, IS-600, HB-700, and GB-700 Oz-Posts. The cap driving
tool consists of a hinged round driver with a handle on each side. Simply slide the
compression cap over the post, wrap the cap driving tool around the post, and slide the
tool down forcefully against the compression cap. A more convenient way of installing the
compression caps than using a hammer by itself, especially if you have many to install.

Hammers-Spacers™
Hammer-Spacers™ (adapters)
are required for installing many of the Oz-Posts, to be used in conjunction with the
Oz-Hammers. Hammer-Spacers are high grade steel,
color-coded to aid in identifying the spacer in the field. See the Oz-Post product pages
