Black Plastic Post Caps for Wood Posts (NW287H & NW298H)
Durable Black Plastic Post Caps Plastic Post Protectors are the least expensive cap we offer to protect the top of wood posts from the weather. The top of wood posts are the most likely to deteriorate. Post protectors will keep the rain from penetrating and rotting the top of the post. Easy to install, these post protectors are available for 4x4 and 6x6 posts. Made of durable black plastic with a matte textured finish. Caps are available in any quantity.
All sizes are 4" or 6" nominal - 3-5/8" and 5-5/8" actual.

A few notes about sizing. All sizes are 4" or 6" nominal - 3-5/8" and 5-5/8" actual. The sizes marked 4x4 are meant to fit over dimensional lumber that actually measures 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" square. Products marked 6x6 fit 5-1/2" x 5-1/2" dimensional lumber. Shown below is a 4x4 cap. As you can see it measures 3-5/8" on the inside dimensions which will slip right over a 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" post.

Here are some great pictures from our customer Andy down in Simpsonville, South Carolina of a beautiful wood board and batten fence and gates hung using a variety of our D&D gate hardware. Andy chose to hang the gates using the TCHDMA1 Hinges and to secure them with a LLAA Lokk-Latch Lockable Latch and a LL3PWA Privacy Gate latch. The double gate is further secured with a DD-410003 drop bolt in the middle. All the posts are capped using our Black Plastic Post Caps. The project looks wonderful Andy - Keep up the great work!
