Commercial Chain Link Fence Gate Child Safety Auto-Latch (CHILD-SAFETY-LATCH-COMM)

Protect small children from the dangers of your swimming pool and/ or hot tub with this child-resistant latch. The latch can not be opened by anyone who can not reach the top of the push rod. Latches available to fit many combinations of post sizes and gate frame sizes. The Commercial Latches are available for both 1-5/8" and 2" gate frames. Latches require 2" gap between the gate post and gate frame upright in order to function properly.

Latches ship with hardware bag. Replacement hardware packs are available for purchase separately.

The pool-safe latch unit is made from shock resistant plastic. Latches are available in black only. Latches self-latch and may be padlocked for further security. Latches allow gate to swing in both directions. Pool-safe latches are required in some areas and by the national BOCA code (check your local pool code for latch requirements).

Ordering the Correct Size:

Measure the O.D. (outside diameter) of the latch post and the gate post. The actual measurement is slightly less than the stated size, as you will see in the chart below. Both actual and stated sizes are listed for easy reference. If you find that your size is not listed, choose the closest size to your actual measurement. A difference of 1/8" does not matter. Operation:

To Open: Push down on the top ofthe bar at the top of the gate. This will 'unlock' the fork type latch and allow you to swing the gate in or out.

To Close: Simply swing the gate closed and the fork type latch will swivel and lock into place. Ideal pairing for self-closing hinges.
