Nantucket Martha's Vineyard Non-Slip Over Post Caps fasten directly to the top of the post. Cap bottom trim is not included with these caps. Sizes are offered to fit nearly any size post. The sizes shown are the actual measurement of the post itself. Measure your post and order the size that matches your post size.
All of our products are produced from the finest grade of Redwood or Western Red Cedar and sold “natural”. Our wood products may be treated with a clear sealer to preserve the natural wood color while protecting them against the elements. The red cedar and redwood can be painted or stained as well. A marine grade adhesive can be used to fasten wooden caps to the fence posts.
Materials - All of our slip over post caps are available in clear, vertical grain, kiln dried, Redwood and Clear Western Red Cedar. These wood types are best known for their durability in harsh environments, and their beauty.
Construction - Non-slip over wooden outdoor post caps are crafted utilizing one piece construction.
Installation - With our post caps, there is no costly on-site assembly! Simply apply an exterior marine adhesive, such as 3M 5200 to the top of the post. Pre-drill the cap and affix with stainless steel nails. Your NPC Post Cap is now secure.
- Sizes are offered to fit nearly any size post, between 3-1/2" up to 6-1/2"

Poor customer service when I called in for the recommended sealant so that the warranty would be honored. Went off on tangents about everything I didn't ask for. This guy needs training on how to listen & then how to be direct in answering. The Nantucket Post Caps are terrific but the Hoover service was poor.

I chose to order online with this company due to the large selection of post caps. I particularly liked the variety design choices for cedar. Most of my local stores only had one type of cedar cap. I had two issues with my order but still gave 5 stars and here's why: -My online order didn't ship for a week & I had to follow up with customer service for a status check. The items turned out to be a direct ship from the manufacturer, however, customer service immediately acted & got me a shipping confirmation within 24hrs. -Some of my caps arrived defective (made of two pieces of wood vs. a single solid piece) and split within the first week of installation. Again, stellar customer service responded right away and had new replacement pieces in the mail to me within 24hrs. All pieces arrived as single solid pieces. My experience was not perfect due to manufacturer issues, but these guys were great in making everything right. Had I hoped for a flawless transaction? Sure. In this day & age of customer service extinction would I work with Hoover Fence again? Absolutely.
