MG110 Sensing Edge Kits for Gates (MG110)

The small profile of the MG110 sensing edge is specially designed to protect draw-in posts, pockets, and pivot points in gate installations. With touch sensitive signaling, the MG110 will stop and/or reverse operations when contact is made. The MG110 slide in style edge is designed to install easily when used with a companion PVC mounting channel.

The MG110 Sensing Edge Kit includes: (1) MG110 sensing edge, (1) ME110-C mounting channel, (2) molded nylon end caps, and (2) stainless steel self-drilling mounting screws.

Switch Configuration - Select a configuration based on the application and connection requirements. For the purposes of UL 325 in gate applications, sensing edges can be described as being either monitored or non-monitored. The key difference being that non-monitored sensing edges do not allow for the device to be checked for presence and correct operation. Monitored sensing edges do allow for the device to checked for presence and correct operation.

2-Wire Monitored (10k Resistor) - An electric sensing edge that functions with self-monitoring circuitry. This circuitry detects fault conditions in the edge. Special motor controls may be required. In gate applications, typical use is for post-January 2016 gate operators.

2-Wire Non-Monitored - An electric sensing edge consisting of two adjacent conductive materials inside an astragal. These conductive materials are separated by a small gap. When the astragal is compressed, the conductive materials make contact - thus activating the sensing edge circuit. In gate applications, typical use is for pre-January 2016 gate operators.
