OZCO OZ-Fence 3' Galvanized Steel Post Extender for 2-3/8" Round Posts (OZ-PST-EXT)
The OZCO OZ-Fence Post Extender provides a quick and economical way to increase the height of an existing fence without removing or replacing the original posts. Designed for 2-3/8" round steel fence posts, the extender can add up to 3 feet of height for additional privacy, security or gate support.
The expanding assembly installs inside the existing post and tightens securely using a standard 3/4" wrench. The extender may also be cut to a shorter length when only a few additional inches of height are needed. Its seamless design allows standard fence brackets and fittings to slide over the post without interference.

Which post size is compatible with this extender?
The OZ-Fence Post Extender is made for 2-3/8″ O.D. round steel fence posts and is compatible with standard tubing thicknesses.
How much additional fence height does it provide?
Each extender can add up to 36 inches of height. The extension may also be trimmed when a shorter height is needed.
Do I have to replace or remove my current fence posts?
No. The extender installs inside an existing post, allowing you to reuse the post and concrete footing. The existing post should be structurally sound, properly secured, and plumb before installation.
Is welding required for installation?
No welding is needed. An internal expanding assembly locks the extension securely inside the existing fence post.
What tools are required?
Installation requires a 3/4″ wrench. Cutting tools will also be necessary if you plan to shorten the extension.
How long does installation take?
Installation can typically be completed in approximately five minutes per post, depending on the condition of the existing fence.
Can fence brackets slide over the connection point?
Yes. The extender creates a smooth, continuous outside surface, allowing standard chain link fittings and wood fence brackets to slide over the connection without catching on exposed hardware.
Can this extender be installed on a gate post?
The extender is designed to create a strong connection and may be used at gate access points. Before installation, confirm that the existing post and concrete footing can support the gate's weight, width, wind load, and operating forces.
