The YardGard™ Select Framework Kit provides everything needed to complete Stage 3 of the YardGard™ Select installation process. This framework set supports a 24 ft. section of fence and pairs perfectly with the YardGard™ Select Fence Panel Kit and Auto Close Gate Kit to create a durable, attractive decorative fence system.

These kits are offered at significantly lower prices due to overstock inventory. These kits include (3) 1-3/4" sq. x 6' steel posts, (3) 8' length steel U-channels, and hardware. We have used these as ornamental and decorative top caps on wood fence with the posts as vertical trim for cedar and treated wood fence with fantastic results. The black metal not only contrasts beautifully against a wood fence panel, but also provides significant rigidity to help prevent the wood fence from leaning. Wood fence may be built with conventional 4x4 wood posts, Steel Lifetime posts (also black), or even round tubing. 8' Steel channels have a 2" wide opening, allowing it to 'cap' end grain of treated, cedar, or other type of wood fence pickets. Sleeves are available to make an indefinite top rail using 8' steel channel.

Other creative and original ideas for these steel fence posts and steel channels include framing and trim materials for hog panel fencing. Welded wire fence, woven wire field fence, and traditional hog panel fence has been popular as end users search for cost effective, practical, and do-it-yourself friendly fencing alternatives. These projects often do not have a standard for posts, horizontal rails, and fastening methods. YardGard Select framework kits, posts, u-channel rails, rail sleeves, and even much of the hardware packs (clips, end couplers, and tension wire) are alternatives to consider. A combination of these building materials can create a strong, long-lasting, and original fence style that is very cost-effective, practical, and even fun to build.
