Hoover Fence - Vinyl Fence, Aluminum Fence, Ornamental Gates And Gate Operators

Chain Link FAQ | FAQ INDEX

Question:
Is cementing chain link posts necessary or are there alternatives?

Applicable Products:
Chain link fence.

Reply:
We have always preferred cementing fence posts.  However anchors have become quite popular and some are advertised as being stronger than concrete installations.  I have not had enough experience with the anchors to offer you experienced advice comparing the two.  Cementing posts is definitely better than using the spade anchors found here which I have used many times: http://www.hooverfence.com/catalog/cpage41.htm . The 'wedge anchors' are advertised as stronger than concrete footers; these are found here: http://www.hooverfence.com/catalog/cpage57.htm .
