Our Pressed Steel 180 Degree Swing Chain Link Arm Hinges are typically used on commercial grade chain link gates with a 1-5/8" or 2" O.D. gate upright. We recommend two of these gate hinges for most single gates; four hinges are required for a double gate. Larger gates may require three hinges per gate leaf. Hinges fit both 1-5/8" and 2" O.D. gate uprights. U-bolts allow hinges and gates to be adjusted for a perfect fit.

The perfect match for this DIYer
I haven't replaced the old hinge with the new one yet, but it's the right one, its fit will be perfect. The pictures on the site made it easy to choose the correct one, and to know the part name. A closer look at our existing second hinge tells me I need to replace it, too, so I'll be back.
Just as good the second time around
I bought one hinge earlier, thinking one was all I needed, and not getting a clear look at the top hinge. (Turned out, they both were worn out.) Ordered the second hinge, and it arrived as quickly as the first. UPS, on the other hand, didn't handle the box as well the second time around, and besides the ripped box, a nut was missing. My guess is that the box got snagged by their equipment, and the nut caused problems which they answered by removing the nut. All the other nuts were screwed on well past the end. Thanks, Hoover Fence, I know where to go now for chain link fence parts. And for all those out there wondering how installation went, my assistant and I replaced the hinges effortlessly (with the right stuff to remove the old installation).
