Chain Link Fence Tie Wires - Steel

Chain link steel ties are used to secure chain link fabric to posts and horizontal rails. Use these 9 gauge galvanized steel class III 1.2 oz. ties in some of the heaviest duty applications. Order 2-1/2" ties for 2-1/2" pipe (2-3/8" O.D. actual) and 3" ties for 3" pipe. Use the same amount of ties per post as tension bands per hook-up. This is typically one less than the height of fence installed; a 4' high fence has three tie wires per line post spaced evenly, a 5' high fence has four tie wires per line post and so forth. Top rail usually has five ties wires between each line post, averaging one tie every two feet.
