Driveway gates are installed for security and aesthetics. Driveway gates may be made of ornamental aluminum, ornamental steel, tubular steel and aluminum, PVC, vinyl, chain link materials, and wood. Ideally, driveway gates are installed across level surfaces, mount to securely concreted posts, and allow ample room to swing or slide to open.
Driveway Gate Considerations:
Swing or Slide Gate?
Swing gates pivot open approximately 90 degrees and slide gates move in a linear motion. We offer driveway gates which swing and slide to open and close in nearly every material. Nearly 90 degrees or more of space needs allocated for swing gates. Slide gates need space to slide open and slide gates are often wider than their respective openings to allow for counterbalance, two or more mounting posts, and hardware.
Single or Double Gate?
Single gates have a single gate ‘leaf’ which covers complete gate opening. Double gates are two gate ‘leaves’ which cover gate opening.
