The Linear PRO-SW2002XLS will go above and beyond your expectations, meeting all of your residential gate opening needs. The 2002XLS Gate Operator is intended for use with vehicular swing gates in single family residential applications. Designed for use with tubular steel, vinyl, wood, or ornamental gates. The PRO-SW2002XLS is for double swing gates, and will operate a double gate up to 32 ft. wide (16 ft. each leaf) and weighing up to 500 lbs. per leaf. Note: Ball bearing hinges should be used on all gates weighing over 250 lbs (113.4kg).
Burying the power cable directly across the driveway is fine. It can be snaked through conduit also. Cable is 1/4 inch diameter with a 1 inch plug on one end only. Can operate 30 to 83 gate cycles during peak hours of operation, depending on gate size and weight.
This 12 Volt Electric Gate Opener does not require an electrician to install, allowing for a quick and easy installation along with user friendly instructions. It is also solar compatible, combine with a Solar Panel for a Solar Powered Gate Opener that is ideal for rural areas or as protection against extended power outages.
Can be operated by remote Transmitter, digital Keypad, Push Button or a combination of accessories. Combine with an Exit Wand to create a fully Automatic Gate Opener on exit.

Drive:
- Low friction screw drive (linear actuator) rated for -5°F to +160°F (-21°C to +71°C). Use of Linear Battery Heater FM316 (Not solar compatible) is recommended in extreme cold temperatures
- Powered by a 12 V motor with integral case hardened steel gear reducer. Motor speed reduced to 395 rpm.
- Maximum opening arc of 110°. Approximate opening time (90°): 15-19 seconds, depending on weight of gate.
Power:
- The system is powered by a 12 Vdc, 7.0 Ah, sealed, rechargeable acid battery.
- Battery charge is maintained by a 120 Vac, 14 Vac output transformer. NOTE: The transformer should not be directly connected to any battery. Do not replace fuses with higher ampere rated fuses; doing so will void your warranty and may damage your control board.
- One (1) blade style fuse is rated for 15 A.
- Optional Solar Panel Charger: For double gates, we recommend a minimum of 10 watts.
Control:
- LPA microprocessor-based control board is set for pull-to-open gate installations. Jumper can be removed to accommodate an optional kit for push-to-open gates (see Accessory Catalog).
- A circuit on the control board regulates charging. “Sleep draw” is 15 mA; “active draw” is 2 to 5 A.
- Auto-memorization of digital transmitter code.
- Built-in RF receiver tuned to 318 MHz.
- Operator length with push-pull tube fully retracted is 33-3/4", mounting point to mounting point, arm stroke 15" max.
- Minimum gate length is 5 ft. per leaf.
- Adjustable auto-close (3 to 120 seconds), and stall force potentiometers.
- Power terminal block accommodates a transformer or solar panels (not both).

Exceptional selection and customer service!
I have been going back and forth with fence companies to install a motorized split rail gate across my driveway. Motor and split rail combination is a problem. With a bit of searching, I found Hoover Fence. They make a very nice split rail gate mounted on a tubular steel frame. The also sell all the hardware needed to install the gate AND sell the operators and all the hardware needed to install. After I placed the gate order online, I received a phone call asking to review my order with some suggested changes. Amazing!
