Historically, horses were tethered to hitching posts to prevent them from wandering away. In current times, our Hitching Post Ring on Screw is often used as a decorative accent or to tie rope or Landscape Chain to posts or buildings. They are great way to create an old-world look.

3.25" OD ring made from 5/16" wire attached to 3/8" x 4.5" lag screw eye with 3" of threads. Can be used on wood posts 3.5" thick and greater or embedded in granite posts using epoxy. Use with "D" shackles or Quick Links to connect to chain.
