Oz-Post Overview - Installation

Shop: Oz-Post Post Anchors

Oz-Post™ Supports are made to simplify installation of posts for fencing, signs, arbors, sheds, playgrounds, and any other application that normally required digging holes and filling with concrete. They can be used with any type of post material. Oz-Posts™ are made to be driven in the ground with a jackhammer, available at most tool rental centers. Made of sturdy hot-dipped galvanized steel, the Oz-Posts™ become an extension of the jackhammer, driving through all types of soil conditions. Simply drive the Oz-Post™ into the ground, keeping level throughout the installation by means of a two-way level, and mount your post to the receiver end of the Oz-Post™. A one man operation that saves hours if not days of hard work. Additional savings come from having shorter posts than what is required to install in-ground. Add up the savings in materials and labor costs and you'll see the advantage of using the Oz-Post™ System!

Oz-Post Installation - Step 1

Step 1
Mark location where the post is to be located. Be sure to call utilities in the area where Oz-Posts are going to be installed. Slide the Oz-Post onto the Oz-Hammer and position the tip of the Oz-Post at the center of the post location. Strap a two way level on the outside of the Oz-Post.

Oz-Post Installation - Step 2

Step 2
In one swift motion, lift the jackhammer and Oz-Post into the upright position. Once the Oz-Post is in the correct location, move the entire assembly to find level in BOTH directions.

Oz-Post Installation - Step 3

Step 3
Using "short bursts" drive the Oz-Post into the ground 1" to 2" at a time checking level at each interval. Once the Oz-Post has been driven into the ground more than 15" corrections to level can no longer be made.

Oz-Post Installation - Step 4

Step 4
Finish the driving process when the base of the housing is at ground level OR if so desired, the housing may be completely submerged. Insert the post into the sleeve of the Oz-Post and secure it with the appropriate hardware.
