Read More: Railing Overview
Secure aluminum and vinyl railing sections to our heavy duty railing posts. Our railing posts are designed to mount to flat surfaces such as concrete, wood porches, and vinyl or PVC decks. Our aluminum and vinyl railing posts are specifically designed to complement our aluminum and vinyl railing. Choose your style of railing section first and then choose posts for your particular installation.
Vinyl Railing Posts:
Vinyl railing posts are typically 4" square and hollow, may be sleeved over wood, but more often are used with galvanized steel or aluminum railing post support kits or post stiffeners. Vinyl railing post support kits and post stiffeners add structural integrity to the vertically mounted railing posts and allow for mounting vinyl posts to flat surfaces. Use a vinyl railing post designed for your make and model of vinyl railing for best results. Vinyl railing sections are either designed to insert into a vinyl post, or attach to surface of post. Vinyl and PVC railing posts are either routed (holes cut in side of post to accept horizontal rails) or 'blank', meaning there are no holes routed on side to accept horizontal rails. Railing sections that attach to outside of post do so with aluminum and/ or vinyl railing brackets.
Aluminum Railing Posts:
Available in 2-1/2", 3-1/4", and 4" square sizes and designed to work with 36" and 42" high aluminum railing systems. Aluminum railing posts are designed specifically to complement aluminum railing styles offered including our American Series Railing and Outlook Series Railing. Aluminum railing posts typically come equipped with a post mounting flange, or a plate at the bottom to allow for easy mounting to flat surfaces such as concrete patios, wood decks and porches, and PVC or vinyl decking.
