Our 36" Long Drop Rods are designed to fit 1-3/8" round gate frames and are available in Black (CL-RDDA-36B), Brown (CL-RDDA-36BR), or Green (CL-RDDA-36G).

In general, drop rods are used on double or dual swing gates, two gates which latch together in the center. Simply bolt drop rod guides (included) onto gate upright and slide drop rod into guide to install. Chain link drop rods are lockable with padlocks (not provided). Drop rods are designed to allow you to lift the drop rod, pivot rod, and set to 'hold' the drop rod in the 'up' position for easy swinging. Drop rods require a centerstop in the ground for the rod to slide into. You can either drive a piece of pipe into the ground to secure the gates, or purchase one of our centerstops.
