Chain Link Fence Strong Arm Latches for Double Gates - Black (STRONG-ARM-DBL-COLOR)

The Strong Arm Double Gate Latch eliminates the need for a drop rod. It's easy to install, and will securely latch double-gates and keep the gate in-line with the fence.

Residential Strong Arm latches are adjustable for gates spaced 2" to 4" apart and fit 1-3/8" gate frames. The Commercial latches for round frames are adjustable for 2" to 6" gaps and fit both 1-5/8" and 2" round gate frames. The square version also adjusts for 2" to 6" gaps, but is designed to fit 2" square gate frames. For extra security the latch can be thru-bolted or welded to the gate frame. Latch is proudly manufactured in the USA which is perfect for all projects requiring domestic fittings.

Here are a series of images from our customer Jesse down in New Mexico who installed a total of (7) DAC-4090-B StrongArm Double Gate Latches on a variety of gates at this facility. The black welded wire steel gates have a 2" square frame, and this latch is perfect for securing them without the need of additional drop rods. As seen, these steel latches can even be welded onto the gate frames for the ultimate in security.

Overall, I am happy with Hoover products. Here is what I liked about Hoover. Your support staff is courteous and knowledgeable. I am a DIY home owner and not a professional fence installer. So, your guidance was helpful Here are a few things Hoover could do better. All parts should be available in black finish. A primarily black fence with silver hardware does not look nice. I can paint those parts, but it will not have the nice factory finish. Better illustrations for the parts on how they work and how to install those would help DIY people like me. I was not happy with the part DAC Industries Child Safety Auto-Latch Gate Stop. It bent significantly when I tightened nuts on the U bolt. It needs reinforcement against bending. Even a nicely formed sheet metal part would do better than a flat sheet which is weakest in bending. Ideally, it should come with instructions on the extent of tightening. The DAC Industries Residential Strong Arm Double Gate Latch Fits 1-3/8" Frames, Black is excellent. I have not yet installed DAC Industries 1-3/8'' frame x 2-1/2'' post, One-Way Self-Closing Hinge Set, complete. I am hoping it will work as advertised.
