Tension wire is available in professional grades in galvanized steel, colored, aluminized, and 100% all aluminum to compliment chain link fences, agricultural fences, and high security perimeter fences.
Use chain link tension wire to add tension and rigidity to the bottom and/or top of a chain link fence. Pull tight using popular fence tools such as a come-a-long and wire grip and secure to round chain link posts with brace bands. Read our How To Build Chain Link Fence Installation Manual for additional details.
Our 7 gauge galvanized and 6 gauge color vinyl coated chain link tension wire meets, or exceeds most commercial, industrial, highway, airport, and industrial site specifications where a durable long-lasting product is required. Vinyl coated chain link tension wire is available in industry colors such as black, dark green, and dark brown. Tension wire is 'spiral' or 'marcelled' and slightly kinked to allow additional tension once secured to posts.
Aluminized tension wire is similar to above, but offered with an aluminized coating for additional longevity.
All aluminum tension wire is a specialty item manufactured and designed to withstand the elements. All aluminum tension wire is a straight wire, not 'kinked'. We recommend all aluminum tension wire for harsh conditions such as coastal areas and wet areas where it will outperform galvanized and aluminized tension wire in finish. We can supply most all chain link items in aluminum for these areas as well. Shop All Aluminum Chain Link Fence Parts.
