Find the perfect cantilever slide gate latch made from galvanized steel to fit round tube posts or square posts. Cantilever gate latches are typically offset as slide gates are typically hung off back side of adjacent fences. Slide gates may also be hung off the face of the fence. Cantilever slide gate latches typically install with a U-bolt (included) to the latch post, unlike swing gate hardware which usually installs to gate upright. Simply bolt to latch post at convenient height. Conventional cantilever slide gate latches are two piece in design: a latch that bolts to latch post and a latch piece that bolts to gate upright allowing the use of a padlock. New designs feature a 'cow-catcher' latch design with a wider throat on latch which helps to 'catch' gate as it nears closed position. Slide gates can have some 'sway' as they side, particularly the longer ones. Cantilever gate slide gate latches typically fit 3" O.D. (2-7/8" actual) and 4" O.D. (4" actual) latch posts. Gate uprights for sliding cantilever gates are usually 2" O.D. (1-7/8" actual), or 2" square.

Aluminum Cantilever Slide Systems Hardware typically consists of (1) aluminum slide gate, (1) sliding gate latch, (2) slide gate trolley, (2) gate trolley mounting bracket/ gate hanger, (1) slide gate track, (1) gate stop, (2) bottom slide gate guides, and (2) slide gate bottom guide rollers, and (2) bottom guide roller covers.
