Our Hampton Thumb Latch is fashioned on an old Pennsylvania design that dates back to the late 1800's. This latch is traditional styled to accentuate New England charm. At the same time it is very functional and robust. On the bar side a simple mechanical locking mechanism has been incorporated into the design. Our Hampton Thumb Latch – Setback Mount has all the attributes of our original Hampton Thumb Latch, but can be used on a gate that is jamb mounted (setback mount) from the front face of the post.

This latch is ideal for use with Wood Gates.

• Our Set Back Hampton Thumb Latch has all the attributes of our regular Hampton Thumb Latch (#4300)
• Set Back Hampton Latch can be used when the Gate is set back from the front face of the Posts and/or when the Hinges are mounted on the same side as the Handle.
• Ornate design.
• Intended for use on wood gates or doors.
• 7" tall handle.
• 5.5" long bar.
• For Gates up to 5" Thick.
• Short thumb bar for gates up to 3" thick and long thumb bar for gates 3.25" to 5" thick included.
• Easy to Install (Requires Single 3/4 Inch Round Hole).
• Requires Space of 1" Between the Gate and the Post.
