Contemporary Ring Gate Latch – Flush Mount (6149)
Our Contemporary Styled Ring Latch was designed to be attractive as well as easy to use. It’s simple, clean lines and hefty weight make it a stunning addition to any project! The back plate measures 2.5” wide and 4” tall. The ring measures 3” across and is 1/2” in diameter. It can be installed either left or right handed by easily flipping it over and it requires only a single hole be drilled through the gate or door. We supply it with color matched fasteners and the keystock required to make it operational from both sides of the gate or door.
This Contemporary Ring Latch is designed for use with Wood Gates and Doors.
Contemporary Ring Gate Latch – Flush Mount (6149) Features:- Intended for use on wood single or double door configurations of gates, barn doors, garage doors, garden sheds, outdoor showers and carriage houses.
- Base plate measure 2.5” wide x 4” tall.
- Ring measures 3” across and is 1/2” diameter.
- Suitable for gates up to 5” thick (A Longer 9/32 Keystock Can Be Used for Thicker Gates)
- Easy to install (requires a single 3/4" hole through the gate)

- Manufactured from a combination of stainless steel (bar, retainer and catch) and zinc/aluminum alloy (ring and base plate).
- Available in Black Polyester Powder Coat or Natural Satin finishes.
- Color matched stainless steel fasteners and key stock included.
- Can be combined with Stainless Steel Padlock Eyes (#1300) if Locking is Required
- Can be combined with a Gate Stop (#1400) to prevent damage to the Gate and Latch due to excessive slamming or wind gusts.

- Flush mounting hardware is the most common method of installation. We recommend a 1/4" to 1" space be maintained between the gate and post. Please refer to our Installation Details for more information.
- Easy to install, requiring only a single 3/4" round hole.
- Suitable for gates up to 5" thick (using the standard key stock provided).
- Can be installed either left or right-handed simply by flipping it over.

Here are some great pictures from our customer Matthew out in Bethel, Connecticut, who built a Maine Board Gate using our DIY Gate Plans. He installed the gate on a West Virginia Lap Rail fence using Snug Cottage 8324-18SP Hinges in Combination with the 8256-34P male hinges. The gate list secured with a Snug Cottage Contemporary Style Ring Gate Latch with the addition of a drop rod to keep the gate in the open position. The gate, fence, and hardware look wonderful, thank you Matthew!

Here are some nice pictures from our customer Jeff over in Madison, Connecticut, showcasing the wooden double gate that he built which is concealed well within the fence line. He used J-Bolt Male Pin Hinges along with a single strap female hinge to hang the gates and latched it with our 6149-LDSP Twisted Ring Gate Latch from Snug Cottage Hardware.
