Twisted Ring Gate Latch – Flush Mount (4149-WOOD)

The Twisted Ring Latch is a design that endures! It has a long history of use in England and has been a top-selling latch for Snug Cottage Hardware since our inception.

This Twisted Ring Gate Latch is designed for use with Wood Gates and Doors. We also offer a version for Vinyl Gates (#4149-VINYL).

Twisted Ring Gate Latch – Flush Mount (4149-WOOD) Features:

Intended for use on wood and cellular PVC single or double door configurations of gates, barn doors, garage doors, garden sheds, outdoor showers and carriage houses.
Operates from Both Sides
Easy to Install (Requires Single 3/4 Inch Round Hole)
Flush Mounts
Rosette measure 2-1/4" dia.
Ring measures 3” across and is 1/2" diameter.
Latching bar is 6" long.
For Gates up to 5" Thick (A Longer 9/32 Keystock Can Be Used for Thicker Gates)
Sold individually.
Manufactured from a combination of stainless steel (bar, retainer and catch) and zinc/aluminum alloy (ring and rosette).
Available in both Black Polyester Powder Coat and Hot Dipped Galvanized finishes.
Color matched stainless steel fasteners included.
Can be combined with Stainless Steel Padlock Eyes (#1300) if Locking is Required
Can be combined with a Gate Stop (#1400) to prevent damage to the Gate and Latch due to excessive slamming or wind gusts.

Operates from both sides.
Allows for either a left or right handed installation.
Minimum mounting surface required is 3-1/2" wide x 4" tall.
Easy to install, requiring only a single 3/4" round hole.
Intended for use on gates up to 5" thick (with standard key stock provided).

Hardware is good, screws are inferior... replaced them.

Pleased with the overall quality of the hardware, except for the screws. Supplied with Phillips head screws, be sure to pre-drill. If using an electric drill, turn down low and increase torque only when needed. Even then a couple stripped out their heads and a couple snapped off. Replaced all the screws with exterior torx screws and had no further issues.
