The 1400-PSS Stainless Steel Gate Stop from Snug Cottage Hardware is designed for use with PVC and Vinyl Fence Gates or even wood gates! This gate stop features a 'T' profile and each wing is 1-1/2" wide. The addition of a gate stop is recommended with any vinyl fence gate installation because when the wind blows, or the gate slams, the gate stop takes the force - not your gate latch! The 1400-PSS has a black polyester powder-coated finish and can be installed on the gate frame or gate post. Stop includes color-matched stainless steel fasteners.

Using a Gate Stop will ensure your gate stops in the correct position every time. They are used to prevent damage from forceful closing (slamming and windblown) of both the latch and hinges in a gate installation. No different than any of the doors in your home which have the stops built into their trim work, gates also need a stop for the same reasons. The proper use of our Gate Stop will reduce the likelihood of damage to your gate and improve its closing function giving you worry free operation for years to come.
