Hampton Thumb Latch – Flush Mount (4300-W)
Our Hampton Thumb Latch is fashioned on an old Pennsylvania design that dates back to the late 1800's. This latch is traditional styled to accentuate New England charm. At the same time it is very functional and robust. On the bar side a simple mechanical locking mechanism has been incorporated into the design. This timeliness and classic latch can be utilized in a multitude of applications including yard-swing gates and in-swinging doors.
This latch is ideal for use with Wood Gates.
Hampton Thumb Latch – Flush Mount (4300-W) Features:- Ornate design.
- Intended for use on wood gates or doors.
- 7" tall handle.
- 5.5" long bar.
- For Gates up to 5" Thick.
- Short thumb bar for gates up to 3" thick and long thumb bar for gates 3.25" to 5" thick included.
- Up to 1" Gap Between Gate and Post (1/2" Recommended).
- Bar Flush Mounted (Handle on opposite side to hinges).
- Fits Either Right or Left Hand.
- Sold individually.
- Easy to Install (Requires Single 3/4 Inch Round Hole).
- Manufactured from a combination of stainless steel and zinc/aluminum alloy.
- Available in Black Polyester Powder Coat finish.
- Color matched black stainless steel fasteners included.
- Will not rust.
- Includes an ornate, flip-over cam locking mechanism.
- Can be combined with Stainless Steel Padlock Eyes (#1300) if Locking is Required
- Can be combined with a Gate Stop (#1400) to prevent damage to the Gate and Latch due to excessive slamming or wind gusts.
- Versions also available for gates set back from front of the posts (#4500) and for Vinyl Gates (#4300-P).
- Faux Hampton Thumb Latch Handle also available (#4300-HANDLES).

- Ideally used on yard-swing gates and in-swinging doors.
- Allows for either a left or right handed installation.
- Easy to install, requiring only a single 3/4" round hole.
- Maximum 1" gap between a gate and post.
- Supplied with a short thumb bar for gates up to 3" thick and a long thumb bar for gates 3-1/4" to 5" thick.

I have not installed the gate hinges...
I have not installed the gate hinges yet but they appear to be be excellent quality and I believe they will work well on my project. The gate latch is also excellent quality. However size is to small (my fault) and will not look right on the large gate I am working on. Still awaiting a response from you regarding the availability of a more massive thumb latch.
