PDS® Bottom Lock Privacy Slats for Chain Link Fence (PDS-BOTTOM-LOCK)

PDS® Bottom Lock Privacy Slats provide a simple, economical and attractive way to add privacy, security and color to a chain link fence. One of North America’s most popular privacy slat designs, Bottom Lock Slats feature a secure snap-in locking system that helps keep the slats aligned and firmly in place.

Each slat features a rigid, flat tubular body with reinforced internal supports for added strength and durability. The slats lock into a horizontal channel installed along the bottom of the fence, helping discourage removal and vandalism while creating a clean, uniform appearance.

Bottom Lock Privacy Slats - Each bag provides approximately 10 linear feet of fence coverage and includes 82 individual slats and 10 feet of bottom-locking channel. Each slat is approximately 3-1/2" shorter than the actual fence height and provides approximately 75% privacy.

To install, insert the bottom-locking channel horizontally through the first complete row of chain link diamonds at the bottom of the fence with the open side facing upward. Next, insert each slat vertically through the mesh with the beveled and notched end facing downward. Push the slat into the horizontal channel until it snaps securely into place.

No special tools are required, although a pair of Fence Pliers may be helpful for straightening bent or distorted chain link wire.

Important: Bottom Lock Slats are available in different widths for specific chain link mesh sizes and wire gauges. Measure the fence mesh and confirm the wire gauge before ordering.
