Customer Comments:
Hello George,
Attached please find photos of the installed Gateshare (10) Padlock Gate Latch for double drive gate. This is a great solution for us. We have a 20+ acre industrial site with multiple tenants using the same space. Access to the site is through a 60' wide double drive gate (with two 30' rolling gate sections). Historically we have used a chain and padlock system to secure the gate, and have daisy-chained multiple locks together. Some tenants shared locks with other tenants to cut down on the number of locks in the chain. This system worked well for several years. However, recently we encountered several incidents of the gate being left open and unlocked and of the gate being locked with a lock (or locks) being locked out of the chain. This resulted in angry tenants and many phone calls at odd hours to get drivers a combination for one of the other locks on the gate to allow them access into the lot. With tenants sharing a lock there was a lot of finger pointing and no accountability. We were looking for a better solution for multiple locks on one gate. We found many home-made systems on YouTube, and then we came across Hoover Fence Company and Gateshare. The mechanism seemed a bit pricey and we debated whether we would purchase it. We decided to go ahead and buy it and couldn't be more pleased. The locking mechanism is heavy duty, and when the gate is closed it is tight and secure. We color coded the locks to the tenant and now we know which tenant was the last in or out of the gate because their lock is on the top of the stack. Thank you for selling a quality product!
