SS40 chain link posts, top rail, and framework as manufactured by Allied Tube &
Conduit. Allied Tube & Conduit has become the largest domestic manufacturer of
galvanized steel fence framework. Allied's SS-40 consistently outperforms Schedule 40 and
pre-galvanized pipe products in areas of strength and corrosion resistance. SS-40 is
hot-dip galvanized and chromated by total immersion, followed by a clear organic coating.
This coating minimizes oxidation, preserving a bright shiny appearance. The combined
coatings of zinc, a conversion coating and clear organic top coat produce a
"synergistic" effect that has greater corrosion resistance than the sum of the
individual coatings. It all adds up to superior protection.
