Our Cranked Bands with Pins combine a traditional design with exceptional strength and installation versatility. They can be mounted flush with the front of the post or are ideal when a gate needs to be setback from the front of the post but still maintain a tight fit.

8295 Series Cranked Bands with Pins from Snug Cottage Hardware offer a robust solution to hanging your wood gates. These traditional style hinges are available in both Black Polyester Powder Coat over Hot Dip Galvanized and Hot Dip Galvanized finishes. Hinge lengths offered are 7", 12", 18", 24" and 36", which is to ensure that hinges are available for all applications.

This hardware is ideal for use with wood gates.

• Very Robust with Traditional Style
• Intended for wood and cellular PVC applications including gates, barns, garages, garden sheds, outdoor showers and carriage houses.
• Available in 7", 12", 18", 24", and 36" lengths.

• Forged steel heavy duty straps and pins.
• Available in both Hot Dipped Galvanized or Black (BPPCG) finishes.
• Color matched stainless steel wood screws (2" x #12) included.
• Optional Extra Long Stainless Steel Wood Screws available (#FP-3XL24)
• Can Be Flush Mounted or Jamb Mounted
• Flush Mount - Front of Gate flush with front of Post, most common method of installation. 1/8" to 1/4" space between Gate and Post is recommended.
• Jamb Mount - Ideal when the Gate needs to be set back from the front of the post and still have a tight fit (as little as 1/8") between the Gate and Gate Post.
• If Installed with Both Pins Up then the Gate Can Be Removed Easily. Installing One Pin Down Prevents Removal of the Gate.
• What Size Hinge to Use? The general rule is that a hinge strap should be about 1/4 to 1/3 the width of the gate or door. If the gate or door is over 6’ tall, then a third hinge should be utilized (typically one hinge for every 3’ of height).
• We Carry a Curved Version of this Hinge (#8295-CCB)
• We Also Carry a Matching "Dummy" Hinge Front (For use on the opposite side of the gate) (#8293)

Please Note: This style of hinge has a loose fit on the pin. This slackness will not be evident when both hinges are mounted.

Please Note: Hinges require that a Carriage Bolt (preferred) or Lag Bolt be utilized on each hinge as shown Here. These are not included with the Hinge pairs because the length of bolt required will vary with the installation. Hinge sizes 7-16" require 3/8" diameter bolts and 18-36" require 1/2" diameter bolts. You will need bolts 1" longer than the overall thickness of your gate or door.
