Quick Catch Latch (4100)
The 4100 series Quick Catch Stainless Steel Latch from Snug Cottage Hardware is an easy to use, ingenious latch, that is constructed entirely from stainless steel. This latch was originally designed to be opened from horseback, but is easily accessed from the ground, or even in a wheelchair, while holding a wheelbarrow, a pair of crutches, or your dogs leash!
The 4100 Quick Catch is designed to allow for two direction pass through opening so as long as you have installed two-way hinges you will always be moving forward through your gate. Simply close the gate with a push and your gate will be locked back in the middle every time, all of the time.
Quick Catch mounts easily in minutes, with included color-matched hardware, and can be locked with a customer supplied padlock. This latch is unaffected by normal gate sag and is available in a Natural Stainless or Black Polyester Powder-coated finish, for gates that are 1-3/4" to 2" Thick, 2-1/2" to 3" Thick, or 3" to 3-1/2" Thick!

The 4100 Quick Catch is an excellent latch for use with livestock when installed as directed. It is imperative that the distance between the gate and the post be maintained at the recommended distance (See Specifications Tab). Therefore, periodic attention to this is required. Should the space change due to gate sagging or post movement the latch will not function properly.

- Ideally used for single gate applications of 2”, 3” or 3.5” thick gates. The 3” and 3.5” sizes work great in conjunction with our Double Strap Hinge selections (8312, 8324 and 8325).
- Best if used with laterally adjustable hinges to provide for easy adjustment.
- The 2” model requires 1 1/4” space between the gate and the post.
- The 3” and 3.5” models both require a 1 1/2” space between the gate and the post
- Self-latches every time just by pushing the gate closed.
- Not affected by normal gate sag because in the closed position the gate just sits in the middle of the yolk. Nothing actually fastens to the gate so it can rise and fall without affecting the latch operation.

What a great latch
I converted my picket fence gate to a double swing gate and found this latch. This latch is perfect in every way.
I used a double barrow spring hinge along with it so the gate closes on its own in either direction.
Easy to install and easy to use. Love it.

Everything I received was extremely well-made of the highest quality stainless steel or galvanized (but, unlike me, pay attention to the weight/dimension specs that are clearly indicated in their website!).
