Hardware Index Heavy Duty Double Strap Hinges   Ideal for Heavy Gates such as Driveway Gates, Dumpster Enclosure Gates, Agricultural Gates, and Traditional English "Five Bar Gates" Double Straps Sandwich the Wood Between the Straps to Lock the Gate at 90 Degrees to Prevent Sagging and Distortion The "Central Eye" is the main stay Double Strap Hinge and has been used in the United Kingdom for Farm and Residential Wood Gates for well over a century and a half. Can be mounted Between the Posts or Behind the Posts. The "Straight Eye" Double Strap reduces the space between the Gate and the Post while setting the Gate back from the front of the Posts. Gate can be opened a full 180 Degrees to be completely out of the way when open. The "Rear Eye" Double Strap enables one to hang large, heavy Gates with a space between the Gate and the Post as little as one inch. Ideal for use with more ornate sleeved Posts. Depending on the thickness of the Post the Gate can be mounted even with the front of the Post or slightly in front of the front edge of the Post. Gate can be opened about 135 Degrees.
